KANYE WEST STARTS NEW CLOTHING LINE

In an interview with W Magazine last month—the one we still have many questions after reading—Kanye West discussed his critically maligned foray into fashion design: Established designers are already “in a position to go crazy," said the rapper. "I tried to come out of the gate going crazy. And it didn’t work. So now I have to somehow put out something that says, ‘I look sensible!’ ”

While the article mentions West's "new men’s capsule collection of jeans, T-shirts, and hoodies for a hip French brand," details were scant. On Sunday, West collaborator Travi$ Scott Instagrammed the first shot of this rumored partnership, a pair of jeans embroidered with an "A.P.C. Kanye" tag, with the caption, "When I first landed in Paris, Ye brought me to A.P.C. headquarters to meet [founder] Jean [Toultou] seeing this collab come out after many designers tellin Ye he couldn't do sh-t is so fresh."

A.P.C., the hip French brand in question, confirmed the collaboration, set to launch July 14, on Twitter:

As Complex notes, Toultou hasn't exactly been shy about his famous co-worker, tweeting a picture last December of himself and West together.

We've already highlighted West's fashion evolution from 2004 until now, but let's hope the fruits of their labor fare better than Yeezy's $6,000 stripper shoes.
