De Vrij has not signed for Manchester United, insists agent

The Feyenoord centre-back has attracted admirers after some impressive World Cup performances, but his representative denied a €15 million move to Old Trafford has been agreed
The agent of Netherlands defender Stefan de Vrij has denied that his client has already agreed a deal to sign for Manchester United.

Goal understands the Red Devils are preparing a €15 million bid for the Feyenoord centre-back, who is thought to be keen to continue working with Louis van Gaal after excelling under his stewardship at international level.

But De Vrij's representative has played down rumours that his client has already put pen to paper on a contract at Old Trafford, and insists he is only concentrating on Oranje's World Cup campaign.

"We have no agreement with Manchester United, nor have we signed for them,” his agent toldLazionews24.com.

"I don’t know where this rumour came from. Stefan is concentrated only on the World Cup and he wants to continue doing well."

De Vrij, who scored his first international goal against Spain in his side's opening World Cup fixture, has also been rumoured to be interesting Lazio, but his agent would not be moved regarding the reports.

"Links to Lazio? No comment," he added.

Van Gaal has already begun adding to his squad with the signings of Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw, though on Saturday Goal revealed that a move for Arturo Vidal could be in doubt due to Juventus demanding €57m plus Nani for the Chile midfielder.
