TRANSFER TALK : Who really needs Angel Di Maria? Real Madrid, PSG?

Angel Di Maria almost completed his move to PSG but due to Financial Fair Play rules, PSG need to offload a few of their stars(1 or 2 would do) to get his signature. Before then though, I want to quickly take a look at who this deal would benefit (based on the teams chasing the Argentinean).

Real Madrid last season played Di maria in many positions as Carlo Ancelotti looked for the right formation for the team, finally settling for Di Maria in a CM position(in the absence of Sami Khedira) and the Argentine never failed to impress in that position, leading the team with the highest number of assists. With the introduction of James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos to the squad, Di Maria would definitely not have a regular starting shirt at Los Blancos and after a great season, you just wonder why.

PSG on the other hand have spent a lot of money this summer already, acquiring the services of David Luiz and  hope to get Di Maria, but how well will he play at PSG is the question.

Di Maria’s playmaking skills could be very vital with the likes of ZLatan, Lavezzi and Cavani(if  both of them stay till next season). If Laurent Blanc decides to play a 4-4-2 formation, he could use DI Maria as one of the CMs or a winger or an Inside Forward putting in crosses for whom else but Zlatan and whoever partners him. Is Di Maria really the player they need? I could say yes and no at the same time really. No in the sense that they have more than enough talent to create the way Di Maria does if the right players are used. I could also say Yes because he could bring in another type of dynamism to the PSG team with beautiful skill, defense-splitting passes and sensational crosses.

All in all, he most definitely would be a great signing for the French club and he could end up being one of the players to lead the club to UCL glory, who knows?
