Haywire real name Ifeanyi Okoli is an upcoming rapper who is doing good for himself in the underground music scene. In his interview with Crack360's Seun Badejo he talks about his music, his upcoming mixtape and many more. 

MR HAYWIRE, TELL US ABOUT YOU, WHO IS HAYWIRE? 

• heey I'm haywire , ifeanyi Okoli . First son of a family of 6 , 3 sisters and 2 brothers to a single mom . music is next to my heart after God and family . started making music proffesionally in 2011 when I met Chordratic Beats . I rap and sing basically , learning production atm . yh I guess that's it 

WHY THE NAME HAYWIRE?

• Haywire's some name I picked up back in high school , during english class . was going through my dictionary and I saw the name , can't really remember what led to it but I know people started calling me Haywire after that . so basically the name Haywire refers to my music not my personality , even though I can be crazy at times 

RUMOURS HAVE IT THAT YOU ARE A STUDENT OF UNILAG, TRUE?

• Yh I am 

WHAT'S FINGAPRINTZ ALL ABOUT? HOW LARGE IS THE CREW?

• Well , FingaPrintz is just family , its a clique . we're really not much just the 4 of us . Myself , my brother Profound , my Cousin Jeffrey Benson , and my other brother Epiq , he's not blood but I've known him since I was a kid so I call him my brother . the whole point of the clique is making a difference , young peeps coming together to influence the industry positively . and to show the world that there's alot we youngings have to offer not just the adults out there , Lool like they say 'the youth's are the leaders of tomorow' , why wait for tomorow when you can start today . that's my policy , I mean FingaPrintz isn't just filled with artists , its filled with talent , like Jeffrey Benson is a graphic designer / producer , we have a producer still in talks , started up our Clothing Line 'Real Talk Clothing' . you know its not about the talent you have , its about what you can do with the talent . So we trying to get it out there and make a difference . That's it 

YOU USED TO BE IN CHORD NATION, WAS THERE ANY DISPUTE OR YOU JUST LEFT?

• There wasn't any dispute , I'm still in Chordnation , its all love . and I have alot of respect for Chordratic Beats , its the same thing , we're all just a big family 

SPEAKING ON YOUR MUSIC, HOW RELEVANT DO YOU THINK IT IS TO THE SOCIETY?

• well , I can't say I'm doing my best but I can say I'm doing everything in my power to get the music out there , I improve on myself everyday . The Haywire of years back isn't the same Haywire of today . that's just it , I can't tell how relevant it is now , but I can tell you bout how relevant its going to be .

WHAT ATTRIBUTES TO YOUR DRIVE AS AN ARTISTE? 

•The Love , the passion and the talent . I don't look at music as what I can get from it , but I look at it as what I can do with it . There's much more to music than alot of artists make it look like . Music is a voice , mode of expression , medium of making yourself heard/feelings known . I believe if artists looked at music that way , alot of things will be right in the society today .

ARE IN ANY RELATIONSHIP PRESENTLY, COZ I'M SURE A LOT OF LADIES ARE INTERESTED 

Naa , I'm single . 

BEING A RAPPER, WHICH RAPPER DO YOU LISTEN TO THE MOST? 

• Eminem , he's the greatest of all time 

AS AN ARTISTE HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE SUCCESS? 

• Sucess is a journey not a place , its a process . Its not constant , it has to keep elevating if not its not sucess . I mean , getting from point A to B is a good thing , but I term a person sucessfull when he keeps getting better and higher than he was 
before .

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS?

•Obviously , doing what I love the most on a bigger scale .

WHAT OR WHO INFLUENCES YOUR MUSIC?

• The greatest influencer is God . I have alot of artists who inspire me tho , I listen to alot of Chris brown , Johhny Rain , Angel , Coldplay , Logic , J.Cole , Jon bellion , Slaughterhouse , Hs87 , Tank , the list is endless .

BE HONEST, WHO DO YOU THINK IS THE BEST NIGERIAN RAPPER?

• My best nigerian rapper is M.I

SHOULD WE VE EXPECTING ANY MIXTAPE OR EP ANYTIME SOON?

• Yh yh! Something I'm soo excited for . My First Mixtape 'Memoirs Of a Potential King' drops this year . Its been a long time coming , guess I was just waiting for the right time . already dropped an un-offical single 'Posted up' . Offical art and tracklist would be released soon . All members of Fingaprintz on it . expect diversity , there's something for everyone . Its just good music basically . 

I'VE HEARD MOST PEOPLE SAY "THAT HAYWIRE BOY IS NOT GOOD" , WHAT'S YOUR TAKE ON THAT? 

• Lool their ignorant . But also everyone is entitled to opinions . and opinions aint facts . wait for the mixtape .

• I'm a straight 8 . there's still alot to learn , and there's still alot I can do with music . But straight 8 bro
