Nicki Minaj Finally Speaks Out About DJ Khaled’s Surprise Marriage Proposal…

Ever since DJ Khaled dramatically proposed to Nicki Minaj on MTV Thursday the industry has been buzzing on whether the music collaborators were collaborating in real life. But after much speculation on Tuesday Nicki decided to put the record straight.

Speaking with Hot 97′s Funkmaster Flex July 29, the 30-year-old rapper said she never took the proposal seriously. The Starships singer said: ‘I was shocked just like the rest of the world. ‘I was cracking up laughing with the rest of the world ’cause Khaled is a master at what he does.’

Even though the former American Idol judge was even sporting a huge diamond ring in Beverly Hills, California, on Sunday, Nicki insists it was just DJ Khaled trying to get publicity for the sing they worked together on I Wanna Be With You.

The song also features Future and Rick Ross, who came out after the proposal stating he thinks it is the real deal.

However, despite the the producer offering Nicki a 10-karat radiant cut diamond ring from Rafaello & Co – worth a reported $500,000 – the star says she is staying single.
